Become an API Customer
ALT Sports Data works with sportsbooks, media platforms, data aggregators, and technology partners. This page explains the onboarding process so you know what to expect and can plan your integration timeline accordingly.
Who is ALT Sports Data for?
Typical customers include:
- Sportsbook operators building odds boards and betting experiences for alternative sports.
- Content and media companies that need structured event, odds, and player data for editorial or affiliate products.
- Data aggregators and odds comparison platforms that ingest feeds across multiple providers.
- Technology partners building platforms, widgets, or tools that serve the alternative sports ecosystem.
- Leagues and federations looking to distribute their own data through the ALT Sports Data network. See For Leagues for league-specific documentation.
Onboarding steps
1. Initial conversation
Reach out to the ALT Sports Data team to discuss your product, the sports you want to cover, and the data surfaces you need (live odds, historical data, futures, or all three).
2. Scope alignment
The team will confirm:
- Sport and league coverage -- which sports and leagues are available and match your product needs.
- Data surfaces -- whether you need live odds, historical archives, futures, or a combination.
- Rate-limit tier -- based on your expected traffic volume and polling patterns.
- Compliance and distribution rights -- any regulatory or contractual considerations for your use case.
3. Agreement and provisioning
Once scope is confirmed, you will receive:
- A demo API key for development and QA -- full endpoint access with sample data.
- A production API key when you are ready to go live -- scoped to your contracted sports, markets, and rate limits.
- Access to these developer docs and direct support channels.
4. Integration and testing
Use your demo key to build and test your integration. The Integration Setup with ASD guide provides a step-by-step rollout plan. The ALT Sports Data team is available for technical questions throughout this phase.
5. Production launch
When your integration passes QA, swap to your production key and confirm everything works with the go-live checklist. The team will monitor your initial production traffic and help resolve any issues.
For leagues: the intake questionnaire
If you are a league or federation looking to distribute your data through ALT Sports Data, start with the intake questionnaire. It captures the information the team needs to evaluate coverage and onboarding.
